Bone protrusion may be due to several reasons as follows: 1. It may be a normal bony protrusion. If the patient is thin and has thin subcutaneous fat, then this condition looks even more prominent, especially when the patient is in a certain position, which may make some normal bony protrusions more obvious and then make the patient very clearly observable. 2. This condition may be caused by an injury to the bone. Either a fresh injury or an old injury may cause this condition. In a fresh fracture, there may be a local displacement of the bone, resulting in a protrusion or depression on the surface of the bone. In old injuries, there may be abnormal bone growth, which may lead to a local bony protrusion. 3. This condition may be caused by congenital joint and bone lesions, which is due to hereditary factors, resulting in deformity of the above-mentioned parts and then a significant protrusion. 4. This condition may also be caused by occupational diseases inside the bone, such as bone tumors, which are the most common. 5. 5. This condition may also be caused by a soft tissue lesion on the bone surface, such as a serious soft tissue blunt contusion or a soft tissue tumor on the bone surface, which may cause a protrusion and cause the patient to mistake it for a bone protrusion.
