Who is at risk for osteoporosis?

Osteoporosis is more common in people over 60 years old, with women being the most common group. The susceptible groups of osteoporosis include: 1) too little physical activity, long-term sedentary and bedridden people; 2) excessive intake of caffeinated drinks and carbonated beverages; 3) lack of calcium and vitamin D, lack of sunshine; 4) long-term heavy drinking and smoking; 5) high-sodium diets; 6) preferring vegetarian diets, insufficient meat, eggs and milk and other protein intake; 7) underweight and emaciated people.
