What are the symptoms of a cervical spine injury

Injuries to the cervical spine can produce the following clinical symptoms: first, cervical pain: whether it is a cervical fracture, dislocation, or neck muscle injury, can lead to cervical spine pain, the pain tends to be more severe, affecting the cervical spine activities. Second, limited cervical spine activity: after cervical spine injury, the neck muscles will have continuous spasm and stiffness, therefore, the range of cervical spine activity will be affected, including cervical spine flexion and extension activities, rotational activities are limited. Third, nerve compression symptoms: the cervical spinal cord nerves traveling in the cervical spinal canal can innervate the muscles and joints of the limbs, so if the cervical spine is injured, the spinal cord nerves may be involved, resulting in clinical symptoms such as weakness and numbness of the limbs, and even affecting the urination and defecation, resulting in the patient being unable to take care of his/her own life. Therefore, if the cervical spine is injured, early treatment is necessary.
