It takes a few days for close contacts of the new crown to be sure they’re okay.

Close contacts of novel coronavirus generally need to be isolated for 14 days to be sure that they are okay. The incubation period of the novel coronavirus pneumonia virus is 1~14 days. People who have been in close contact with a patient with novel coronavirus pneumonia need to be isolated for observation. Since it is not certain whether the close contacts are infected with the novel coronavirus or not, close contacts are generally required to be isolated for 14 days, and can only be released from isolation if the nucleic acid tests are negative during the 14-day isolation period. During the isolation period, close contacts of novel coronavirus pneumonia are not allowed to come into contact with other people and are required to be isolated in a single room. If abnormal symptoms such as fever or cough occur during the isolation period, they should be reported to the authorities and treated accordingly. Close contacts of the new coronavirus pneumonia should take the initiative to contact the epidemic prevention staff for isolation. [Note: On December 26, 2022, the National Health Commission announced that the names of “new coronavirus pneumonia” and “new coronavirus pneumonia” were changed to “new coronavirus infection”.
