How to observe the condition of cerebrovascular patients at home?

Theoretically, cerebrovascular lesions mostly have symptoms of two major systems: those of the internal carotid system, and those of the vertebral basilar artery system. For the convenience of the period, we will analyze the symptoms of these two systems together. The first symptom is impaired movement of the limbs, which may take different forms, including paralysis of one upper limb, one lower limb, one upper and lower limb, or facial muscles on the same side. Then there is sensory disorder, which can also appear on one side of the body, such as numbness of the mouth, numbness of the tongue, which are all sensory disorders, and some patients may have sensory hypersensitivity, we do not feel pain when receiving stimulation, he will feel pain. Then there may be unclear speech, choking and coughing when drinking, and some swallowing difficulties, these symptoms are some aura symptoms. Also, some patients may not see clearly, either in one eye or in both eyes, depending on the location of the lesion. However, these symptoms have one common feature: they are episodic, lasting for a few seconds or minutes and then disappearing, with the longest lasting no more than 24 hours. Of course, there are other conditions, such as unstable walking, not walking in a straight line, dizziness, seeing things turn, and headache. In other cases, patients who have a history of migraine headaches, which are episodic and fluctuating on one side of the head, have recently changed and concentrated on one part of the headache, and the headache is persistent, and the nature and location of the headache has changed, so we should be highly alert to the possibility of cerebrovascular accidents. These symptoms, which we also call transient ischemic attack, are the best time to intervene in the clinic. Transient ischemic attack, as the name suggests, occurs for a very short period of time, but it can happen and appear repeatedly, and the symptoms are roughly the same each time, and the symptoms may last for a few seconds or minutes after they appear, and generally disappear within 24 hours, so this time is often easy for some patients to ignore and think they are well, but in fact, they are not. It is very important to discover some symptoms early in the stroke and to be able to go to the hospital for treatment in time. Otherwise, once you wait until a real stroke has occurred, the consequences are quite serious and bring a lot of burden to many families and society. We would like to remind our readers that if their loved ones have some of the conditions described earlier, they should go to the hospital for early examination, especially if their parents have some similar symptoms, don’t treat them as some minor problems, but do the corresponding examination according to the medical history. The most effective treatment for ischemic stroke is thrombolytic therapy, which has been internationally recognized. However, thrombolytic therapy requires very strict time, preferably within 3 hours, and at the latest not more than 4.5 hours, once this time window is exceeded, the patient will miss the best treatment time, and the result will not be good. Therefore, we would like to remind you that once you find some of the early symptoms mentioned earlier, you must go to the hospital immediately to seize the time window for treatment.
