The principles of management of severe burns are the following four aspects: 1. anti-shock resuscitation rehydration; 2. multi-organ function maintenance; 3. infection prevention and comorbidity management; and 4. trauma management. Anti-shock resuscitation and rehydration is due to the occurrence of shock due to the extravasation of large amount of plasma-like fluid. Multi-organ function maintenance is due to the fact that after burn injury, its not only part of the body surface area is damaged, but its multi-system multi-organs are damaged, so important organ functions such as heart, lung, kidney and gastrointestinal tract should be maintained. Trauma treatment is a very important aspect of burn treatment, and scab cutting and skin grafting treatment should be carried out in planned stages and batches. If there is a combination of comorbidities, the comorbidities should also be treated and managed accordingly.
