Female, Wu**, 39 years old, was admitted to our hospital in May with “low back pain with left lower limb pain and discomfort for 1 month”. At the time of admission, the patient was supported by family members, with obvious lumbar scoliosis and painful expression; on examination, she had difficulty in turning over and 10° straight leg elevation of the left lower limb (+). In our department, we performed lumbar disc ozone therapy + collagenase lysis, and the pain basically disappeared after the surgery. The above 3 pictures show the CT film before the operation in May, which showed a significant protrusion of the left posterior aspect of lumbar 4/5; the following 3 pictures show the CT film 4 months after the operation (September), which showed that the protrusion of lumbar 4/5 disc basically disappeared. The incidence of lumbar disc herniation is very high, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients and even loss of work ability. Ozone injection + collagenase lysis can reduce the pain symptoms of most patients and shrink or even disappear the herniated discs, which can significantly improve the patients’ symptoms. Moreover, this technique is safe, low cost (generally not more than 10,000 yuan), and the efficiency can reach more than 90%. It is worthy of clinical promotion.
