Pathogenesis of hernia

1, the layers of the abdominal wall can be simply divided into five layers: skin, subcutaneous tissue, fascia, muscle and peritoneum. The muscle layer is the main tissue against abdominal pressure. 2, thinning or poor development of the muscle layer (such as children, the elderly, abdominal wall trauma, etc.) is the main reason for the occurrence of hernia. 3, Increased abdominal pressure (crying, prostate enlargement, chronic cough, cardiopulmonary disease, etc.) is a prerequisite for the occurrence of hernia. 4. The abdominal wall is weak and the increase in abdominal pressure leads to the gradual expansion of the abdominal wall and the initial formation of the hernia. 5. Over time, the hernia mass gradually increases in size, the muscle layer is defective, the remaining layers expand outward, and the intestinal canal, etc. enters the hernia sac, forming a typical hernia.
