Blood in urine after lung cancer surgery is considered to be related to postoperative complication of urinary system infection, and also considered to be related to medication, cancer cell renal metastasis and urinary system stone.
1. Urinary system infection: when some lung cancer patients stay in bed for a long time after surgery and do not pay attention to individual hygiene and care, and are complicated by urinary system infection, such as urethritis, cystitis, chronic glomerulonephritis, etc., blood in urine after surgery will be induced.
2. Use of medicine: if lung cancer patients apply sulfonamides, indomethacin, mannitol and so on after surgery, it will affect the function of renal tubules and thus blood in urine. There are also some patients who have blood in urine due to hemorrhagic cystitis caused by application of cyclophosphamide, heparin and so on.
3. Renal metastasis of cancer cells: for some patients with poor surgical treatment of lung cancer, hematuria may occur due to metastasis of cancer cells to kidney and damage of kidney tissues. Patients are also prone to pain in kidney area, frequent urination, urgency of urination and other uncomfortable symptoms.
4. Urinary system stones: If lung cancer patients themselves suffer from urinary system stones or urinary system stones after surgery, blood in urine may occur due to damage of mucous membrane by urinary system stones.
It is suggested that patients with blood in urine after lung cancer surgery should cooperate with doctors for examination, so as to clarify the cause of disease and then follow the doctor’s instruction for treatment.
