How often can you donate blood?

The interval between blood donations should be not less than six months.

Blood includes all kinds of blood cells and plasma, in which the replenishment of lost red blood cells is about three months. In order to ensure the safety of blood donors, China’s blood donation law stipulates that the interval between 2 collections should be not less than six months.
The blood volume of healthy adults accounts for about 8% of their body weight. Blood metabolism is vigorous, and the body will regulate itself to replenish blood volume in time after blood donation. We advocate healthy citizens to donate blood without compensation and pay attention to avoiding infection, proper nutrition and avoiding strenuous exercise after blood donation.
