How to check for cholecystitis

How do patients with cholecystitis undergo relevant tests? Cholecystitis is often divided into acute cholecystitis and chronic cholecystitis, and many patients with cholecystitis often suffer from abdominal pain, bloating, nausea, vomiting, jaundice, etc. These manifestations are often easily confused with acute gastritis. In fact, we can confirm the diagnosis of cholecystitis through the following tests. Ultrasound examination of liver and gallbladder is often used for the diagnosis of acute cholecystitis, chronic cholecystitis, gallbladder stones, gallbladder polyps, etc. Its diagnostic accuracy rate is as high as 95%-98%, and ultrasound examination can also measure the size of the gallbladder, the thickness of the gallbladder wall, the diameter of the intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile ducts, and determine the cause of cholecystitis. Because of the advantages of non-invasive, easy and accurate ultrasound examination, it has become the preferred method for diagnosis of cholecystitis. CT examination of the liver and gallbladder can assess the size of the gallbladder, the presence of gallbladder fluid, and the adhesions between the gallbladder and the surrounding tissues, and at the same time, CT can provide information on the degree of bile duct extension and clarify the site of gallbladder stone obstruction. 3.Laboratory tests can be used to determine the severity of cholecystitis by understanding the degree of elevation of blood leukocytes through routine blood tests. The determination of liver function indexes, including the elevation of transaminases can determine the degree of liver function damage, and the elevation of bilirubin ratio can determine the possibility of bile duct stones. These tests have an important reference value for the prognosis of cholecystitis.
