What to do about cholecystitis

Cholecystitis is a common digestive disorder with a high incidence. It is clinically classified into two types: acute and chronic. In the case of chronic cholecystitis, symptomatic antispasmodic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory treatment is needed, along with attention to daily diet. In the case of acute cholecystitis, surgical treatment is often required. The conventional treatment of cholecystitis focuses on active prevention and treatment of bacterial infections and prevention of complications. If stones are diagnosed or if there are frequent attacks, surgical treatment may be considered. For severe pain in the upper abdomen in the acute phase, antispasmodic and analgesic drugs, such as atropine or dulcolax, can be applied promptly. At the same time, timely antimicrobial therapy is needed, which can be combined with ampicillin, clindamycin, and aminoglycosides, or cephalosporins. It can be combined with drug sensitivity tests to select, the appropriate antibacterial, in addition to the need to make use of cholestatic drugs, such as magnesium sulfate. For patients with chronic cholecystitis, daily application of anti-inflammatory and bile-supporting Chinese medicines, such as golden bile tablets, or liver-clearing and bile-supporting oral liquid, should be combined with clinical and doctor’s instructions. Therefore, it is not terrible to have cholecystitis, and it can be cured with timely and effective treatment. Of course, in addition to the combination of clinical drugs and surgical treatment, daily care is also very important. The three meals a day must be regular, living in moderation, pay attention to the combination of work and rest, and keep the mood and bowel movement smooth.
