Syphilis elimination takes place about 12 weeks after high risk.
Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by infection with the syphilis spirochete, which is mainly transmitted sexually, from mother to child, and through blood. It is categorized into stage 1, stage 2 and stage 3 syphilis. After being infected with syphilis, usually after an incubation period of 4 to 6 weeks, the body will produce antibodies to the syphilis spirochete, which can be detected by drawing blood for syphilis serum antibodies.
If the test result is negative, the possibility of infection is considered unlikely, but syphilis infection can not be ruled out, due to individual differences as well as the amount of serum antibodies and the time to produce antibodies are different, there is a prolonged window period, resulting in undetectable antibodies, in order to completely rule out syphilis need to be in the high-risk period after about 3 months.
If you need to rule out syphilis infection after a high risk, it is recommended that you go to the hospital for a syphilis antibody test 3 months after the high risk.
