How much LDL is appropriate in patients with cerebral infarction

LDL of <1.8 mmol/L in patients with mild cerebral infarction and <1.4 mmol/L in those with severe is appropriate. Since increased LDL levels are closely related to the development of atherosclerotic diseases, and atherosclerosis is an important factor that increases the risk of cerebral infarction and the severity of the disease, the LDL levels of patients with cerebral infarction need to be strictly controlled. In general, in order to prevent plaque enlargement in patients with mild cerebral infarction, LDL usually needs to be lowered to about 1.8mmol/L, and for severe cerebral infarction, LDL needs to be lowered to 1.4mmol/L or even lower in order to minimize the risk of reoccurrence of the disease. It is recommended to consult a physician for standardized treatment when necessary.
