Is late-stage uremia contagious?

Uremia late stage is not contagious. The common diseases leading to uremia are various primary glomerulonephritis, secondary nephropathy, acute kidney injury and so on, so it is not contagious no matter the early and late stage of uremia. Even though some uremia patients are caused by infectious diseases, such as viral hepatitis B, viral hepatitis C, streptococcal infections and other causes of nephritis leading to uremia. But its pathogenesis is mainly due to the patient’s own immune system disorders, and various pathogens are just a causative factor. Even if these pathogens are transmitted to others, they may not necessarily lead to nephritis in others, much less lead to uremia.
