Moderate hydrolyzed proteins are large molecules of milk proteins made smaller, thus removing the allergic components of milk proteins and making them less allergenic. It is used to prevent dietary allergies in babies. Milk protein is the main source of dietary protein in infancy, so the most common allergic disease in infancy is milk protein allergy. Cow’s milk protein allergy can involve all systems of the body and is most commonly manifested by digestive and skin symptoms, such as vomiting, bloating, diarrhea, and hives.
