It has the effect of warming menstruation and stopping bleeding, relieving pain and dispersing cold, and can be used externally to relieve itching and dispel dampness. It can be used for itching of skin, irregular menstruation with cold, cold pain in the abdomen, cold pain in the epigastric region (stomach and abdomen feel cold and painful), and infertility with cold uterus. This product can also be used for cold deficiency vomiting of blood, metrorrhagia (excessive menstrual flow or dribbling), epistaxis, excessive menstruation, and is suitable for cold deficiency bleeding conditions, and is an essential medicine for warming menstruation and stopping bleeding. It can be used alone or with Paeoniae Alba, Colla Corii Asini and Radix et Rhizoma Dioscoreae for the treatment of disintegration and hemorrhage caused by weakness of the Chong Ren veins (the two channels of the Chong Ren veins are weak, which affects the function of consolidation), and coldness in the lower element; and it can be combined with Sheng Lotus Leaf, Sheng Radix et Rhizoma Dioscoreae, Sheng Cypress Leaf and other medicines for treating hemorrhagic syndrome caused by Blood-Heat Paranoia (the abnormal outflow of Blood caused by the evils of Heat). The adverse effects of this product are not clear, and should be taken with caution in cases of yin deficiency and blood heat.
