Sudden deafness should be considered whether it is caused by otitis media, eardrum perforation or drug toxic side effects, treatment includes medication and surgery.
1. Otitis media: the treatment can be local application of ear drops is conducive to the relief of pain; or oral antipyretic drugs such as aspirin; if secondary to upper respiratory tract infection, intravenous antibiotics such as ceftriaxone sodium. Hearing can be restored after otitis media is treated.
2. Eardrum perforation: If the trauma causes perforation of tympanic membrane causing hearing loss, the small trauma generally does not require treatment can be self-healing, the larger trauma requires surgery to repair the tympanic membrane.
3. Toxic side effects of drugs: if children use streptomycin, it will lead to hearing loss, early hearing loss should be stopped immediately to gradually recover; if long-term use of deafness is irreversible, you can wear hearing aids to enhance hearing.
If the above symptoms occur, you should go to the ENT clinic of the hospital in time to find out the cause of the disease and treat the cause.
