Lung nodules can be categorized as cough and chest pain in traditional Chinese medicine. Sanghuang has the effect of softening and dispersing knots and Ganoderma lucidum has the effect of relieving cough and asthma, etc. Sanghuang and Ganoderma lucidum water may be able to alleviate the symptoms of the disease, but it does not have the effect of curing the disease.
1. Sanghuang has the effect of softening and dispersing hard lumps, activating blood circulation, stopping bleeding, stopping diarrhea and detoxifying. It is used in the treatment of fetid drinking (water-drinking staying between the two wounds), prolapsed anus with blood in stool, hemorrhagic drenching (the appearance of blood in urine with pain), hematochezia, menstrual occlusion, dysmenorrhea, impedimenta, obstruction in the abdomen (the appearance of tangible or intangible lumps in the abdomen, with distension and pain), and diarrhea due to deficiency of the spleen. The adverse effects and contraindications of this drug are not known.
2. Ganoderma lucidum is effective in calming asthma, relieving cough, tranquilizing the mind and tonifying qi, and is used in the treatment of palpitation, restlessness, insomnia, cough and asthma due to lung deficiency, shortness of breath due to fatigue, and inability to think about food and drink. The adverse reactions and contraindications of this drug are not known.
Boiling water with Sanghuang and Ganoderma lucidum has the efficacy of calming asthma and relieving cough, softening hardness and dispersing nodules, which can be used for lung deficiency cough and asthma, fetid drinking and other conditions, therefore, for cough and chest pain belonging to the above mentioned conditions, it can relieve the symptoms but cannot cure lung nodules at root.
