With the popularity and development of laparoscopic technology, laparoscopic renal cyst debulking has become the treatment of choice for renal cysts because of its minimal damage, quick recovery, mild pain, and safety and effectiveness. Renal cysts are benign tumors of the kidney, but if they are large, they will compress the kidney to a certain extent, which will affect kidney function and cause pain to patients. Decompression is usually performed by decortication. This is a relatively common procedure in urology. (A) Indications for surgery Renal cysts can be detected by ultrasound, CT and other imaging examinations, and the location, size, nature, shape and whether the cyst is compressing the renal collecting system can also be determined. Surgical treatment is needed mainly in the following cases: 1. Single large renal cyst with diameter greater than 4.5M, compressing the renal collecting system and renal parenchyma. However, there is no absolute limit, generally greater than 4cm can be considered surgery in advance to lift the compression of the kidney. 2.Single large renal cyst causing compression symptoms. 3.Renal cysts with secondary infection or bleeding. 4.Multiple renal cysts or polycystic kidney with cyst diameter greater than 4M, compressing renal collecting system and renal parenchyma and affecting renal function. 5.Suspected of malignant change. (B) Contraindications to surgery 1. Combined with bleeding disorders. 2.Insufficient cardiopulmonary function, unable to tolerate anesthesia and surgery. 3.Local secondary surgery is a relative contraindication. For example, a history of puncture sclerotherapy injection.
