Barium swallow examination operating procedures?

  A. Preparation: 1. Food: warm boiled water 286ml,, clotting powder, rice paste, cake 2 sachets.  2, supplies: barium sulfate powder 200g, disposable cups (5), syringes (1 each of 10 and 20ML), pumping tissue, metal spoon, towel (please bring the above food supplies into the examination room), straps.  3. Family members sign the informed consent form for swallowing angiography.  2. Operation: 1. Remove the gastric tube before examination. During the examination, sit on the pedal attached to the X-ray machine, side to side with the detection plate and the longitudinal axis of the head of the neck perpendicular to the pedal surface. The patient can be fixed with the X-ray incidental fixation crawler, and the subject should minimize the head movement during the examination. Window position: the lip, hard palate, soft palate, posterior pharyngeal wall, cricopharyngeal segment, hyoid bone and part of the cervical vertebrae can be clearly observed.  2. The patient or family member places food with a syringe in the middle and posterior part of the patient’s tongue, and the cake is placed with a spoon. Swallow 1ml, 3ml, 5ml of barium-containing liquid; 3ml, 5ml of barium-containing solidifying powder and rice paste, 1/4 piece of barium-coated cake, respectively, and ask the patient to listen carefully to the doctor’s instruction to do the swallowing action, and collect the above swallowing process under fluoroscopy.  3.Acquisition is mainly lateral images and some ortho images.  Emergency plan: 1, 1ml of liquid food mass swallowed, there is a serious misaspiration, Rosenbek infiltration – misaspiration grade 7 or more, abort 10ml of liquid swallowing examination.  2. If the total swallowing time is greater than 40 seconds, discontinue the next swallowing step.  3. If the subject suffocates or chokes severely, discontinue the next swallow.  4.In case of choking and asphyxiation, we will immediately take effective rescue measures (such as back patting, sputum suction, etc.), stop the examination and further rescue as appropriate.
