Hepatitis C can be transmitted through sexual contact. Currently, the main transmission routes for hepatitis C are: 1. Blood transmission: Infection caused mainly by receiving blood or blood products containing the hepatitis C virus. 2. Sexual contact transmission: There is a risk of transmission of hepatitis C between people of the same sex or between people of the opposite sex. 3. Vertical mother-to-child transmission: Mothers with hepatitis C have a certain risk of transmitting it to their fetuses. 4. Other transmission: Such as irregular injections, tooth extraction, tattooing, and needle-stick injuries; and partly medical transmission, such as organ transplantation, hemodialysis, and occupational exposure of health care workers. Ordinary life contact is not contagious, such as talking, eating, shaking hands, hugging, etc.
