Can lupus erythematosus cause pulmonary pemphigoid?

Lupus erythematosus generally refers to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), which may cause pulmonary herpes in patients.
SLE can involve lung parenchyma, respiratory muscles and pulmonary blood vessels, etc. It can cause lung infection, pleurisy, acute reversible hypoxemia, pulmonary hypertension, acute lupus pneumonitis and obstructive lung disease, obstructive bronchiectasis with mechanized pneumonia, etc. Lung blisters refer to the fusion of alveoli with each other to form air-containing cystic cavities.
Acquired pulmonary pustules are mostly secondary to lung and bronchitis and other diseases in which there is elevated pressure in the alveolar cavities. Therefore, SLE may cause pulmonary pustules, and the presence of lung involvement in patients with SLE is mostly indicative of a poor prognosis, which should be promptly addressed with treatment measures.
It is recommended that SLE patients go to the rheumatology and immunology department and respiratory department of regular hospitals for detailed consultation.
