How long it takes to move normally after arthroscopic knee surgery

The length of time to return to normal life after knee arthroscopy is determined by the specific knee arthroscopy procedure, which requires different recovery times for different sites of operation and for different diseases. General arthroscopic knee surgery includes synovectomy, total or partial excision of the knee meniscus, removal of free bodies from the knee joint, removal of foreign bodies from the knee joint, degenerative grinding of cartilage damage in the knee joint, repair and reconstruction of forked ligaments in the knee joint, etc. If it is only synovectomy and debridement of the knee joint, you can go down to the ground on the day after surgery, or the next day. As long as the wound heals well and there is no redness, swelling or pain in the knee joint for 3-5 days, you can return to normal life. Of course, strenuous activities should be avoided. In the case of total or partial meniscectomy of the knee, the recovery time needs to be extended depending on the size of the meniscectomy. Fork ligament repair and reconstruction of the knee joint, on the other hand, the recovery time is longer and requires rehabilitation exercises after surgery, depending on the specific situation. If the function is well recovered, the time is short.
