What parts of the body are examined by MRI

MRI is suitable for examinations of most parts of the body, such as the head and neck, as well as small organs of the body, such as the thyroid and breast, the chest, and the abdominal organs, such as the liver, spleen, gallbladder, pancreas, and kidneys. MRI can also be used for gynecological examinations, such as when a patient has uterine or ovarian disease. MRI is also chosen for soft tissue lesions in other parts of the body. MRI is also chosen when the patient has spinal disorders, such as herniated discs in the cervical, thoracic, or lumbar spine, or other lesions of the vertebrae.
