What factors are associated with the development of neurosis

  Neurosis, also known as neurosis, is a group of non-psychotic functional disorders. The common features are: it is a group of psychogenic disorders, personality factors, psychosocial factors are the main factors causing the disease, but not stress disorders, it is a group of functional disorders, the nature of the disorder is functional non-organic; neurosis generally does not have obvious or persistent psychotic symptoms, patients experience pain about the disease, psychosocial factors, pre-morbid personality has a role in the development of neurotic disorders. With a certain personality trait basis but not personality disorder, each subtype has its characteristic clinical phases, such as obsessive-compulsive, depression, anxiety, terror, etc. Neuroticism is reversible, aggravated by exogenous stress and conversely symptoms are reduced or disappear; social functioning is relatively good and self-awareness is adequate.  Patients with neurosis are often characterized as sentimental, sensitive and suspicious, conservative, stereotypical, pessimistic, resentful, withdrawn, etc. In reality, they do not handle interpersonal relationships well, are not objective in their evaluation of things, and are also prone to psychological conflicts, immature in their coping style, not good at playing social support systems, and willing to attribute more causes to the outside world than to find causes from themselves, thus patients are suffering and often affect their quality of life.  The formation of neurosis is related to the family environment, parenting style, if the family environment is not harmonious, no loving atmosphere, indifference, picky. Naturally, they do not learn how to love others, and they do not know how to handle various relationships, so they are prone to interpersonal chaos. If the parenting style spoiled or too harsh or indulgent regardless or neglect, are prone to the formation of personality defects. For example, many only children are now treated as “little emperors” by family members, resulting in a capricious, self-centered, rude, intolerant personality, so interpersonal relationships, should be more than the way problems, easy to form neurosis; and then the parents are particularly strict family education, children are prone to overwhelmed, indecisive, always afraid to make a mistake. They are also prone to nervousness, fear, timidity, lack of self-confidence and other personality traits, and are also prone to neurosis.  Therefore, an adult should make every effort to create a warm, loving, harmonious and relaxed family environment!
