Adverse effects of loratadine

Loratadine is an anti-allergic drug. Common adverse effects include fatigue, headache, drowsiness, dry mouth, dry lips, gastrointestinal discomfort, such as nausea, chronic gastritis, acid reflux and belching, and possibly rash, which are relatively common. Rarer adverse symptoms may include hair loss and liver function abnormalities, such as liver transaminase abnormalities caused by long-term loratadine use.
