Lumbar vertebrae do not generally herniate unless they are subjected to severe trauma or strong violent effects. In contrast, lumbar discs are relatively prone to protrusion and are common in clinical practice, also called lumbar disc herniation, which is a structurally destructive disease. The thorax and pelvis are fixed with straps, and the traction bed is used to pull the thorax and pelvis backwards to widen the lumbar spine gap while converting the pulling force into negative pressure, so that the lumbar intervertebral cartilage is retracted to its original position. With regular pelvic traction treatment, the time for the lumbar intervertebral disc to be in the retracted position gradually increases and the state of disc protrusion gradually decreases, giving sufficient time for the ruptured annulus fibrosus to gradually form a scar. Together with acupuncture treatment to stimulate acupuncture points and meridians to improve the symptoms of meridian blockage, and other physical therapy methods can be used to correct the lumbar disc herniation over a relatively long period of time in order to try to correct it.
