There is no absolute fast way to eliminate the abscess next to the tooth, it may be caused by alveolar abscess, periodontal abscess and other diseases, generally can be relieved by surgical treatment and oral medication.
1. Alveolar abscess: Alveolar abscess is mostly due to pulpitis which is not treated in time, causing infection of periapical tissues and developing into periapical abscess. Patients will have symptoms such as biting pain and recurring abscesses on the gums. Treatment requires incision and drainage of pus at the apical abscess and root canal treatment of the affected tooth.
2. Periodontal abscess: mostly due to the development of periodontitis to the advanced stage, periodontal pockets within the wall of suppurative inflammation, pus failed to discharge caused by localized swelling. Patients will have severe pain, gum swelling and other symptoms. Generally first incision and drainage, local medicine, follow the doctor’s instructions to take amoxicillin capsules, metronidazole tablets and other drugs, after the inflammation subsides to carry out the whole mouth cleaning and subgingival scraping.
During the period of illness, you should drink more water, pay attention to rest, eat less spicy and stimulating food, and seek medical attention if necessary to avoid delaying the condition.
