This point has the effects of relaxing the tendons and activating the channels (stretching the tendons and bones, dredging the meridians), clearing heat and relieving pain, and regulating qi to broaden the chest, and is mainly used for treating localized conditions such as asthma, pain in the scapulae and shoulder arms, as well as injuries to the back of the shoulder.
For the treatment of scapular pain, it can be paired with Bingfeng acupoints, and for the treatment of shoulder and arm pain, it can be paired with Yanggu and Xiaosao acupoints.
