The seven stages of Alzheimer’s disease are asymptomatic, mild cognitive decline, mild cognitive decline, moderate cognitive decline, severe cognitive decline, severe cognitive decline, and very severe cognitive decline.
1、Asymptomatic：No obvious memory loss problems and no obvious symptoms at the time of communication with medical personnel.
2、Mild Cognitive Hypoplasia: The patient may forget the exact location of familiar things or forget familiar words or names, but there is no objective functional deficit in social situations.
3、Mild cognitive hypoplasia: Patients may experience a decrease in planning and organizing skills, or they may lose items or misplace them.
4、Moderate cognitive hypoplasia: Patients are less able to remember recent events and may have trouble concentrating.
5、Severe cognitive impairment: The patient needs assistance in choosing clothes that are appropriate for the season and the occasion, as he or she will be unable to distinguish between seasons and dates.
6、Severe Cognitive Impairment: Patients may have problems such as forgetting their spouse’s name, needing assistance to go to the restroom, and may keep repeating simple cleaning motions.
7. Very severe cognitive impairment: Patients may experience loss of speech, inability to take care of themselves, and incontinence.
Patients with Alzheimer’s disease, need to seek timely medical attention and active treatment under the guidance of a professional doctor in order to slow down the progress of the disease.
