Eye pain and temple pain can be caused by primary headache disorders, such as those that can occur in patients with cluster headaches. Patients may also experience nausea and vomiting, and may be accompanied by conjunctival congestion, nasal congestion, and tearing. Most patients have a regular onset of headaches, which may occur at night or may occur frequently at certain times of the year. The headache is stabbing, pulling, tearing, and burning pain. The duration of the headache varies from 15 to 180 minutes and may stop suddenly or may resolve slowly. The main treatment is symptomatic treatment, such as zolmitriptan tablets and sumatriptan succinate tablets. It may also occur if the patient has a lesion in the eye itself, such as glaucoma. Patients can also develop increased intraocular pressure, which can manifest as eye distention and other discomfort, and if necessary, visit an ophthalmologist for consultation.
