Patients with advanced stage of liver cancer can be supplemented by consuming high protein food or by intravenous infusion of human blood albumin. As the function of liver synthesizing protein decreases and the body consumes more, patients with advanced stage of liver cancer will have low albumin, which may cause swelling, malnutrition, slow recovery and other symptoms, and the patients will be more prone to forming blood clots, etc. Patients can take high protein foods, such as eggs, milk, fish, chicken, protein powder, etc., to replenish the protein. Patients can take some high protein food to supplement, such as eggs, milk, fish, chicken, protein powder and so on. However, if patients with advanced liver cancer combined with hepatic encephalopathy, they cannot eat more protein. If the low albumin is more serious or the patient cannot eat, it can be directly supplemented by intravenous infusion of human albumin or fresh frozen plasma. It is recommended that patients use the appropriate form of supplementation to improve symptoms under the direction of a physician.
