A small lump inside the patient’s ear is likely to be a boil in the external ear canal. Boils in the external ear canal usually appear after the patient has become anxious and inflamed. In terms of treatment, to repair it must be actively anti-inflammatory and at the same time apply anti-inflammatory and anti-swelling medication inside the ear canal. Patients can take Azithromycin dispersible tablets or Roxithromycin dispersible tablets orally, and then apply Bactrim cream or Denide cream inside the patient’s ear canal, which can effectively play an anti-inflammatory and anti-swelling role. If the boil in the external ear canal is particularly painful, the patient can take oral ibuprofen suspension or ibuprofen capsules for pain relief treatment. The patient’s condition should improve significantly within a week or so. If it does not improve, the patient should go to the hospital for a detailed examination, and if necessary, an otoscope or middle ear CT should be completed to clarify the patient’s specific condition.
