In the past, the theory was that patients should drink water after appendicitis surgery after having anal discharge, but due to the development of the concept of rapid recovery, patients who are satisfied with the treatment of the appendix root at the time of surgery can start eating, including drinking water, early after surgery. Therefore, the decision should also be made in relation to the condition of the patient at the time of surgery and the inflammation of the appendix, or whether complications have arisen after surgery.
