Total lung necrosis is usually seen in changes such as tuberculosis, tumor and severe pneumonia. In case of severe pneumonia, strong antibiotics and ventilator-assisted ventilation need to be given, and the patient can survive if the infection is controlled. Tuberculosis with total necrosis of both lungs is most often considered to be caused by the spread of tuberculosis. With aggressive anti-tuberculosis treatment, patients can still survive for a long time if their fever, cough and blood in sputum are relieved. Multiple infections, multiple metastases and multiple cavities in both lungs caused by lung cancer are not easily controlled after active treatment because cancer is a malignant disease, and survival time is usually within one year. Therefore, how long a patient can live with total lung necrosis is mainly considered as inflammatory, tuberculosis or neoplastic lesions, and the patient’s prognosis will be understood according to the specific condition.
