Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure to correct the asymmetry of the eyelids, depending on the cause of the problem. If the asymmetry is due to the accumulation of fat in the skin of the eye, the patient can be improved by double eyelid surgery. If the asymmetry is due to the strength of the levator muscle, the patient can be improved by ptosis surgery. 1. Eyelid Skin and Fat Accumulation: For eyes that are not the same size due to skin and fat accumulation in the eye, the patient can have a total double eyelid surgery and a skin and fat removal surgery to improve the symmetry of both eyes by removing the excess fat and skin. 2. Uneven strength of the levator muscle: If a patient has large or small eyes due to uneven strength of the levator muscle on both sides, the appearance of the eyes can be improved by upper eyelid ptosis correction. It is recommended that patients with unevenly sized eyes be seen in a timely manner to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions.
