Hanging Golden Lantern has the effects of clearing heat and resolving phlegm, detoxifying the pharynx, diuretic and dampness, and is useful in aiding the treatment of phlegm-heat coughs, sore throat and other conditions.
Hanging gold lamp taste sour, sweet, cold, decoction of internal use can assist in the treatment of dysuria (urination), edema, hoarseness, bone vapor and labor heat and other conditions. Crushed externally can assist in the treatment of wet sores and itching, and is often used together with plantain, gentian herb and ice chips.
The adverse effects of this drug are not clear; pregnant women are contraindicated; those with spleen deficiency and diarrhea are contraindicated. Patients are also advised to take a light diet during the use of the drug.
