Rehabilitation methods for hawksbill fractures

Rehabilitation training after eagle’s beak fracture is carried out in accordance with three stages of rehabilitation: early, middle and late according to the patient’s recovery time, and mainly carries out upper limb muscle strength training and joint mobility training.
Early stage of rehabilitation: 0~3 weeks after surgery, generally use the elbow joint extension position for plaster fixation, at the same time for the non-fixed joints, finger, wrist and shoulder joints, full joint range of motion, such as extending the fingers, making a fist, shoulder abduction and adduction and other movements, to prevent muscle atrophy, upper limb venous thrombosis and other complications.
Middle stage of rehabilitation: 4~12 weeks after the operation, the rehabilitator will cooperate with the elbow joint to carry out passive elbow joint mobility expansion training, and active elbow flexion and elbow extension training, which should be carried out under the principle of painlessness and active and resistance training, so as not to cause secondary injuries.
End of rehabilitation: After 12 weeks after the operation, the elbow joint mobility should be restored to normal, and the muscle strength of elbow flexion and extension should be strengthened, such as dumbbell elbow flexion and elbow extension, so as to restore the muscle strength to normal, and the joint mobility and muscle strength to the normal level.
Hawksbill fracture rehabilitation should be timely to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment, step by step, active rehabilitation.
