Third trimester cesarean section is usually performed at 37-39 weeks of pregnancy and should be individualized if there are other comorbidities, complications and obstetric indications for termination of pregnancy. If the cesarean section is performed before 37 weeks of pregnancy, the fetus is not yet fully developed and is called preterm. After 37 weeks of pregnancy, the fetus is fully developed. cesarean section after 39 weeks, as the woman has already experienced two cesarean sections, the scarred uterus faces more and more pressure during the gradual growth of the fetus and is prone to uterine rupture and so on. Therefore, performing a cesarean section at 37-39 weeks of pregnancy reduces the risk and is beneficial to the health of the pregnant woman and the fetus. The timing of termination should be worked out on an individual basis if the patient has a history of fibroid removal, premature rupture of membranes, high blood pressure in pregnancy, and other abnormalities. It is recommended to have regular checkups during pregnancy and decide the timing of cesarean section on an individual basis under the guidance of an obstetrician.
