Spleen and stomach deficiency and cold type: cold pain in the stomach and epigastric region, pain decreases when there is heat, appetite decreases, preferring to eat hot food, usually treated with Radix Rehmanniae Pills. 4. Stomach yin deficiency type: burning pain in the stomach and epigastric region, increased meal quantity but always hungry, belching (burping) and acid reflux, usually treated with Maimendong Tang and Sha Shen Maidong Tang. All the above medicines should be used under doctor’s supervision. Daily diet is recommended to be light and avoid spicy and greasy food.
