The six flavors of dihuang pill is composed of zedoary, poria, yam, dandelion, cornelian cherry, ripened dihuang, has the effect of nourishing yin and tonifying the kidney, mainly used for the treatment of renal yin deficiency, night sweating (sweating abnormally after going to sleep, waking up sweating to stop) spermatorrhea, bone steam tide fever (a burst of heat, feel the heat from the inside of the bone to the outside of the penetration of the hair), lumbar and knee soreness and weakness, and so on. It is not advisable to take cold and flu medicines while on medication. Avoid spicy food.
Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan adds Huang Bai and Zhi Mu on the basis of Liu Wei Di Huang Wan, which has the effect of nourishing Yin and lowering fire, and is mainly used for treating dry mouth and throat, tinnitus and spermatorrhea, hot flashes and night sweating. Caution should be exercised in cases of Qi deficiency with fever and actual fever. Caution should be exercised in the treatment of colds and flu. Not to be used if there is deficiency of the spleen with loose stools or if there is stagnation of Qi in the middle of the body.
There is no clear contraindication between Liu Wei Di Huang Wan and Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan, but it is generally not recommended to take them at the same time.
