Is prolonged upper eyelid puffiness in a heart failure patient serious?

If a patient with heart failure has swollen upper eyelids for a prolonged period of time, this is usually a more serious condition. This is because oedema in heart disease often starts in the ankles and lower limbs and gradually progresses upwards as the disease worsens, and in severe cases, puffiness of the face and eyelids can occur.
However, it is also important to note that patients who only have puffy eyelids and no other areas of swelling may also have kidney damage, staying up late, or eye disease, and need to be identified.
