Medication for upper eyelid swelling depends on the cause of the swelling, not all cases require it and it varies from case to case. For example, acute glomerulonephritis is mostly a self-limiting disease and is treated with symptomatic support and diuretics as appropriate; iron deficiency anaemia requires active iron supplementation with ferrous sulphate, iron dextran and ferrous fumarate.
