Difference between Xiangsha Liu Jun Wan and Yue Ju Wan

Xiangsha Liujunwan and Yuejuwan are usually different in several aspects such as composition, character, function and main treatment, as follows:
1. Ingredients: Xiangsha Liu Jun Zi Wan mainly contains many Chinese medicines such as Codonopsis, Chen Pi, Poria, Muxiang, Ginger, Jujube and so on; Yue Ju Wan mainly consists of Chuanxiong, Gardenia, Cangzhu, Xiangshu and Shen Qu.
2. Characteristics: Xiangsha Liu Jun Zi Pills are concentrated pills with pungent nature and slightly sweet flavor; Yueju Pills are water pills with bitter nature and slightly astringent flavor.
3. Functions and Indications: Xiangsha Liu Jun Zi Pill has the effects of benefiting qi, strengthening the spleen and harmonizing the stomach. Used for spleen deficiency and stagnation of qi, indigestion, belching (burp), less food, epigastric distension, loose stools; Yueju Pills have the effect of regulating qi and relieving depression, broadening the middle and removing fullness. It is used for chest and epigastric congestion, abdominal distension, dietary stagnation, belching and acid swallowing and other diseases.
4. Precautions: There is no contraindication to Xiangsha Liujun Pill for the time being; Yueju Pill should be used with caution for people with yin deficiency and fire exuberance.
