Side effects and dangers of liposuction

Side effects and hazards of liposuction include delayed wound healing, bleeding, edema, subcutaneous nodules, necrosis and sensory abnormalities in the postoperative flap area. 1. Delayed wound healing: Infection in the wound area can occur after liposuction surgery if not properly cared for, resulting in delayed wound healing. 2. Bleeding: subcutaneous bruising will occur when capillary rupture is caused by improper operation in the process of liposuction. 3. Edema: damage to tissues during surgery will cause tissue cells to secrete fluid, causing local swelling. 4. Subcutaneous nodules: The damaged subcutaneous structures or hematoma will change after surgery and manifest as subcutaneous nodules. 5. Postoperative necrosis and abnormal sensation in the flap area: Liposuction surgery may damage the blood supply of the skin and cause necrosis in the flap area if too much fat is extracted; if the nerves are damaged during the surgery, abnormal sensation such as numbness and pins and needles will also occur.
