Do you have to get vaccinated for a second dog bite in a year?

Whether a dog bite for the 2nd time within a year requires vaccination needs to be analyzed on an individual basis and cannot be generalized.

If a person is bitten by a dog again within three months, and the person has received full rabies vaccination after the first dog bite, and the injured animal is healthy, then the injured person needs to carry out effective wound treatment, and can carry out dynamic observation for 10 days, and does not need to be vaccinated again for the time being.

If a person is bitten by a dog more than three months later, he or she needs to be vaccinated on the 0th and 3rd day after the dog bite.

If the first bite is more serious and is a Grade 3 exposure, then a full course of vaccination is required after the second bite.

If you were not fully vaccinated after the first bite, you will need to be fully vaccinated after the second bite.

After being bitten by a dog, it is recommended to go to a regular vaccination center as soon as possible to get proper wound treatment in time to avoid serious consequences.
