How long does it take for black acne marks to fade?

Black acne marks take a long time to fade, usually 2-3 years, and if combined with medication, it can take more than six months at the earliest to fade. Under normal circumstances, pimples usually do not form acne marks after correct treatment. The black pimple marks are mainly due to irregular treatment after acne, such as excessive squeezing or the use of hormonal ointment, resulting in local infection and the formation of marks. Most of the black acne marks can recover and fade on their own, but the time is relatively slow, usually taking 2-3 years, or even longer. If combined with medication or laser treatment, the recovery time can be significantly accelerated and the duration of the disease shortened, but it also takes more than six months. If improperly treated and left with black acne marks, it is recommended that patients do not undergo blind treatment and can visit the dermatology department of a regular hospital for symptomatic treatment by a professional doctor according to the patient’s individual situation.
