Lung nodules generally do not go away on their own. Lung nodules are the presence of abnormal nodular lesions in the lungs. There is no scientific evidence to suggest that the occurrence of lung nodules is related to non-disease factors, and therefore disease factors are responsible for the occurrence of lung nodules. Lung cancer, metastatic lung cancer, tuberculosis, lung infections, lung misshapen tumors, lung amyloidosis, etc., can cause lung nodules, and none of these diseases are self-limiting, so naturally lung nodules will not disappear on their own. Patients need active treatment to make the nodules disappear. For example, tuberculosis-induced nodules can be treated with anti-tuberculosis drugs such as rifampicin and ethambutol, and lung stenoma can be surgically removed. Lung nodules caused by different reasons may cause different damage to an individual’s health, especially those caused by malignant lesions that may be life-threatening. Therefore, it is important for individuals to seek medical attention as soon as lung nodules are detected.
