What are the first aid methods for hernia?

A hernia, commonly known as a “small intestine”, is a more common condition in the elderly and often occurs in children. A hernia is a relatively soft swelling in the abdomen, especially in the lower abdomen, at the base of the thighs, or what is medically known as the “groin”. This is commonly referred to as a “small bowel cascade”, which is a part of the intestine bulging out with the peritoneum and cannot be reset, known as intestinal prolapse. If not treated in time, the intestinal tube will gradually necrosis and cause peritonitis, which is very dangerous. First aid measures: 1. When the hernia first occurs, it is easy to return the intestine to the body. When the patient lies flat, the swelling can often be returned to the abdominal cavity by hand and a “gurgle” can be heard. 2, if the hernia is a child, the first thing to do is to comfort the child not to cry. Because the pressure on the abdomen increases when crying, it is more difficult to return. In order to make the child not cry, you can use methods such as feeding milk or taking a bath to coax the child, and sometimes bathing can also cure the problem. Note: 1. When an elderly person has a hernia, he or she often returns the intestine to the abdominal cavity by hand and does not consult a doctor. Some elderly people who have a hernia do not go to the doctor for a long time because they are embarrassed, and even their family members do not know about it, which is very dangerous. Sometimes a recurrent hernia can be stuck outside the abdominal cavity and cannot be returned by hand. This kind of hernia is called “incarcerated hernia”. It can cause severe pain, and over time can lead to serious consequences such as intestinal obstruction and intestinal necrosis. 3. Elderly people should actively treat coughing and asthma, poor urination, constipation and other diseases. Also from time to time, they should exercise properly to increase the strength of abdominal muscles to prevent the occurrence of hernia.
